Emergency services responded to possible emergency landing of domestic Air New Zealand flight

A situation is unfolding at Auckland Airport as police, fire and ambulance services have responded to a potential emergency landing.

An Air New Zealand flight due to land shortly is reported to have issues with its landing gear.

A police spokesperson confirmed they were aware of an emergency unfolding at Auckland Airport this morning, 10 November. “A domestic flight is due to land very shortly, that has been reported to have hydraulic issues,” police said.

An Auckland Airport spokesperson commented,“Emergency services at Auckland Airport are currently on local standby to support the arrival of an aircraft.”

Update as of 10:00 am 

“The aircraft has landed safely and is now taxiing to the gate,” an Auckland Airport spokesperson said.
