Edited by Travel Weekly

Marguerite Fitzgerald, president of P&O Cruises and Carnival Australia, has resigned from her position with the company for family reasons.

Fitzgerald’s relationship with Carnival Corporation goes back many years where she worked with multiple brands while as a partner with BCG. She then took the opportunity to return home to Australia with her family accepting the role of president of P&O Cruises and Carnival Australia. She, along with her team, led the return to cruise in the region and Australia.

Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises thanked Marguerite for her significant contribution in restoring confidence and certainty in the industry and wished her the best in her future endeavours.

P&O Cruises senior vice president, guest experience Peter Little will serve as interim leader to guide the business through this transition reporting directly to Christine Duffy, president Carnival Cruise Line.

Little has vast experience with Carnival Corporation, having served in a number of leadership positions in Australia and in the UK during his tenure with the company.
