Ex-MAS regional head goes to Air Canada as Director

Lee Poh Kait has been appointed the Director Asia, Australia and New Zealand for Air Canada, effective April 6, 2016.

Based in Hong Kong-based, Mr Lee will be responsible for leading Air Canada’s commercial activities and Global Sales teams across Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Lee joins Air Canada from Malaysia Airlines, where he held a number of leadership roles, including Regional Senior Vice President, North Asia and North America, Regional Senior Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and, most recently, Head of Regional Sales for Oceania and Southeast Asia. He holds a Master of Business Administration majoring in International Business from the University of South Australia.

Vice President Global Sales at Air Canada, Duncan Bureau, says Mr Lee is a results-driven leader with extensive management, marketing and sales experience across the aviation and manufacturing industries.

“Under his leadership, Hong Kong was awarded Best Station for two consecutive years, and over the following years his talent for market analysis, revenue generation and partnership engagement contributed to Malaysia’s success,” says Bureau.

“The Asia and South Pacific region is incredibly important to Air Canada’s network and I look forward to PK’s contribution in this region.”
