The challenge for the industry is… Retaining the best young people

The things I like about my job… Working with people who are so passionate about the industry

And the frustrations are … Not attracting more young people

If I didn’t work in travel I would be… A teacher

Favourite airline? Virgin

My proudest moment was… The birth of my kids

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Not publishable

I try to relax by… Surfing

The last time I feared for my life was… A safari in Kenya that did not go according to plan

If I can, I always try to avoid… Listening to negative people

I really wish I had… Building skills

The best advice I’ve ever received was… To not look back in anger

I don’t understand why people… Don’t look after themselves

My greatest weakness is… impatience

And my greatest strength is… Being positive

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would… Give it back to kids who need it most

If I was prime minister I would… Invest more in primary education

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a… pilot

I’ve always wanted to travel to… The Kimberleys

My favourite holiday was… In Tahiti
