Travel Counsellors ups the ante for agents
By admin

The world’s largest home-based agency group, Travel Counsellors, will launch a number of key developments in marketing, technology and business development to bolster its Australian agents’ business on the back of what has been a record year for the group.

The new initiatives, announced at the company’s recent state conferences, includes a “significant investment” launch of the group’s first dedicated cruise brochure, which is expected to reach some 20,000 Australian consumers, in either print or digital format.

“We are developing a global brand renowned for its highly personal approach to travel,” Travel Counsellors Australia general manager, Tracy Parkinson said.

“This helps to build familiarity and trust with your customers, and ultimately adds value to your business. We will continue to invest heavily in our marketing support including the development of highly personal marketing materials for you to send to your customers. The launch of the new cruise brochure is just the start of this, with further plans for other areas such as business travel and weddings.”

The group also plan to overhaul the company’s websites to further promote the personalised service its member agents offer clients, as well as enhance its in-house booking system, Phenix to feature new product and exclusive deals, enabling agents to act as wholesalers when packaging products for sale.

“On average our Travel Counsellors in Australia increase their margin by nearly 70% when using Phenix,” Parkinson said.

“Travel Counsellors Australia continues to go from strength to strength – we have just recorded our best year yet since we launched the business here seven years ago, with over half of our Travel Counsellors celebrating their best ever sales month during 2014.”

Travel Counsellors currently has over 120 agent members in Australia.
