Spain in spotlight with Rail Pass roadshows
By admin

Spain has been in the spotlight recently, with Rail Plus joining forces with a number of Spanish travel companies to produce a roadshow around Australia.

In light of the recently launched Renfe Spain Pass and France-Spain TGV high-speed services, Rail Plus partnered with Turespaña (Tourist Office of Spain), El Cortes Ingles, Spain and Portugal Travel Connection and Emirates for the roadshow.

Agents from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide were treated with product offerings and prize giveaways at each of the roadshows, as well as presentations on Spain’s main attractions.

Vien Cortes from Turespa√±a kicked off the evenings with a presentation on the country’s major features, including art, food, history and the vibrant party scene.

Representatives from Emirates spoke to agents about its 21 weekly flights between Dubai and Spain, as well as talking about access to Renfe’s rail network, children discounts and links to AVE services from Madrid to Barcelona via EK’s booking system.

Spain and Portugal Travel Connection shared some of its Spanish holiday packages on offer, while Lisa Dinh from El Cortes Ingles caught the shopping interests of agents’ with personal shopper services and discounts.

Rail Plus also steered its presentation toward the Spanish theme, sharing information about the Renfe Spain Pass, which offers between four and 12 journeys a month.

One lucky agent from each city also took home a holiday package courtesy of the partners, which included two economy return tickets, accommodation, a personal shopper, 200 Euros spending money, and two first class Renfe Spain Passes for four days.
