Star Alliance has customised its Navigator app for the iPad to complement its existing iPhone platform.

The new tool features a 3D globe depicting the 27 airline network of more than 21,900 daily flights across 1,329 worldwide destinations. It also includes an exclusive “My Trip” tool which allows travellers to store and monitor their itineraries.

 

Christchurch Airport chief executive Jim Boult will leave the role at the end of the year after a five year stint in order to “explore other opportunities”.

 

Expedition cruise line Hurtigruten has launched a range of special voyages to mark its 120th anniversary.  The 11 cruises include features such as an exclusive visit to Lyngenford, a series of onboard concerts and an 1893-inspired menu .

 

Accor’s four Queenstown properties have been named official accommodation providers of the Winter Games NZ 2013.

The international sporting event will be held from August 11 to 25 in Queenstown and Lake Wanaka.

 

SeaLink has launched a Get Back to the Things that Matter campaign to showcase its range of Kangaroo Island product.

The television and print campaign coincides with the release of a new 60-page Kangaroo Island brochure.
