Royal Caribbean International has launched a new mobile-optimised website to help guests make the most of the site while on mobile and tablet devices. 

On the website, users can learn about Royal Caribbean, look at available cruises and itineraries with live pricing, and find information on deals, destinations and ships.

 

Viking River Cruises have confirmed a further expansion of its fleet for 2015, with the launch of 12 new vessels and two new itineraries that highlight the Rhine River. 

 

Users of Airberlin's iPhone app will now be able to send their digital boarding pass to their smartwatch, if they have the Pebble or Pebble Steel Smartwatch. 

The digital development will enable users to synchronise their smartphone and watch, and subsequently board using just their smartwatch.

 

Intrepid Travel is inviting travel enthusiasts to join them for a free Vietnamese beer hall experience at 1000 £ Bend on Wednesday April 30 from 6pm.

The event will give guests the chance to taste-test food from Hanoi-based chef Tracey Lister, and go into the draw to win the Intrepid Urban Adventure Hanoi Street Food by Night tour, and a Lonely Planet guide to Vietnam.

 

Oaks Hotels & Resorts has appointed Benjamin Pilkington as the new area director of sales for NSW and ACT. 

Pilkington joins the company off the back of a 12-year stint with InterContinental Hotels Group, where he most recently worked as key account director for Australasia. 

 

In the first quarter, Preferred Hotel Group saw a 19% increase in reservations revenue for its member hotels, as well as an increase in enrollments, spending and repeat stays.

 

Air China and Travelport have announced a new merchandising agreement, which will see Air China participate in Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding program.

The program enables airlines to more effectively control how their flights and ancillaries are visually presented on travel agency screens, bringing them more in line with the airline’s own website experience.
