Etihad Airways has pruchased seven full flight simulators worth more than US$200 million, to be based at its training academy in Abu Dhabi.

The deal includes Etihad's first Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 flight simulators to support the carrier's growing training requirements. 

 

Starwood Hotels and Resorts has appointed David Janz, formerly of Wotif.com, to the role of account manager leisure based in its Sydney office.

 

Scenic Tours has launched its US program for 2014 including a new Route 66 itinerary along the iconic highway and a new Southern Belles itinerary which includes a seven-night luxury Mississippi cruise.

 

Air New Zealand will expand its services to and from New Zealand's Kapiti Coast with the launch of a new daily direct service between Paraparaumu and Christchurch to be operated by its subsidiary Air Nelson from November

 

A new daily service from Dubai to Kiev will become Emirates' first route to the Ukraine when it launches on January 16.

The service will be operated by Airbus A340-500 aircraft.

 

Cosmos has launched its 2013 US and Canada brochure with the offer of a $300 saving per couple on its Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece tour until September 30.

Under the offer, the 19-day itinerary is priced from $3596 per person.
