Cruise Summit builds on partnerships

Cruise Summit builds on partnerships
By admin

Cruising in Australia has exceeded all expectations, with the target of one million cruisers a year closer than ever.

Last year 834,000 passengers boarded a cruise ship in Australia, a growth of 20% annually that has continued for the past 11 years. By 2015, cruising expects to welcome one million passengers a year, five years ahead of the previous target.

As the Partnership Summit begins on Carnival Spirit, agents are focused on how to tap into the cruise market. Over two days, World’s Leading Cruising Lines will share the inside story of what is happening in the cruise market and look at ways to work together with travel agents.

Carnival Australia chief executive officer, Ann Sherry, welcomed agents to the Partnership Summit 2014 saying the time is now to strengthen “much valued connections and relationships” that already exist.

“This time together is all about relationships,” Sherry said, encouraging agents to use the Summit to make the ties that bond them even stronger.

The following two days of the Partnership Summit will allow for agents to engage with the World’s Leading Cruising Lines seven brands through business sessions, showcases and social events while cruising on Carnival Spirit.
