Adventure World turns to Emirates

Adventure World turns to Emirates
By admin

Adventure World has revealed that Air Mauritius’ decision to axe services from Sydney and Melbourne has forced the wholesaler to turn to Emirates to service its East Coast clients.

General manager product and marketing Neil Rodgers revealed that Air Mauritius had encouraged Adventure World to continue to work with them from the east coast via connections with partner airline Virgin Australia.
“But we have to ensure that what we do is based on return on investment,” Rodgers explained, saying that it had been working with Emirates on a range of packages from the East Coast.
Ease of journey was a major factor with the Gulf carrier flying daily from Sydney and Melbourne to Dubai, with daily services onwards to Mauritius.
However, Rodgers stressed the wholesaler would continue to work with Air Mauritius on its West Coast routes which are set to benefit from a second weekly service from June 5/6. A third weekly service is also on the cards.
Air Mauritius announced it would axe its Sydney and Melbourne services as part of a major cost saving plan on the back of massive losses in the third quarter in February (Travel Today, February 15).
