Off the back of the initial tourism video featuring former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja, the second of three YouTube films has been released by the South Australia Tourism Commission.

This video focuses on the highlights of the Adelaide CBD, including attractions like Adelaide Oval, the Central Markets, Cleland Wildlife Park and Glenelg, according to news.com.au.

The SA Tourism Commission is working to capitalise on Adelaide playing host to the opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup on February 15, which will see a dramatic showdown between rivals India and Pakistan.

The first film depicted South Australia through the eyes of Ajay Jadeja and his son on their recent visit, featuring key attractions in Adelaide, the Barossa, Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills, set to a soulful Bollywood soundtrack.

Entitled ‘A Day in Adelaide’, the video hopes to bring a significant number of visitors from India for not only the cricket match, but other events throughout the year, news.com.au reported.

“Adelaide is the only Australian city where you can swim with dolphins, cuddle a koala and feed kangaroos in one day and still have time to dine in world-class restaurants, feast on local produce and wine and watch a sunset by the beach,” SA Tourism Commission’s CEO Rodney Harrex raved.

South Australian Premier John Rau said the film aims to uncover the real South Australia.

“We wanted to capture the experiences of real people and this film does that in a creative way,” he said.

“The Cricket World Cup provides a great tourism opportunity in the key market of India and the rest of the subcontinent.”

Check out the latest in the YouTube film series, and see if it makes you fall a little bit in love with Adelaide.
