Batik Air unveils new Perth & Auckland routes
Edited by Travel Weekly

Batik Air, a Malaysian carrier formerly known as Malindo Air, will be launching six direct weekly flights, between Auckland and Perth from 24 August 2023.

The introduction of this route would simultaneously provide seamless connectivity to Bali and Kuala Lumpur via Perth utilising the Boeing 737-8 aircraft with 12 Business and 150 Economy Class seats.

In conjunction with the launch, the airline is offering fares starting from NZ$599 for Economy Class and NZ$1,549 for Business Class from Auckland to Perth. In addition, the fares for flights from Auckland to Kuala Lumpur start from NZ$629 for Economy Class and NZ$2,699 for Business Class; and from Auckland to Denpasar, Bali NZ$759 for Economy Class and NZ$2,389 for Business Class.

All prices stated are for one-way and inclusive of 20 kgs baggage allowance for Economy Class and 40 kgs for Business Class.

Pre-purchased meals and additional baggage requirements are available at discounted rates. Meals and drinks are also available to purchase on-board all flights.

“We are delighted to finally expand our footprint to Auckland as part of our network growth aspiration,” Batik air group strategy director, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy said.

“Crossing the borders to the continent of Australia and New Zealand has always been part of our 10-year plan and we could not have been more elated to celebrate the mark of our 10th year anniversary, with Auckland being the 45th destination on our route map.

“With the rapid hike of global travel demand, we can assure competitive fares and convenient access across four nations. I trust this would not only benefit leisure travels but also business travels alike with affordable fares for exceptional services.”

    Flight Schedule:
