History Will Be Kind (HWBK) has been appointed as the communications agency for Moxy Sydney Airport following a pitch process, building on the agency’s growing travel portfolio.

On track to open in August 2023, Moxy Sydney Airport is the first Moxy hotel to open its doors in Australia and New Zealand.

Moxy Sydney Airport offers up the convenience of an airport hotel stay with an unconventional twist. The HWBK team will introduce Moxy Sydney Airport to the Aussie market, positioning the hotel as the choice for millennial travellers, supercharging the hotel launch moment and beyond through a targeted earned and influencer marketing strategy.

“Moxy is a bold, established brand around the world, so for our debut in Australia, we had a clear mission to find a partner that could help bring it to life with the energy, playfulness and style it is famed for,” Michelle Scott, general manager at Moxy Sydney Airport, said.

HWBK impressed us with their passion, insight-led approach, creative thinking and importantly, their team’s alignment with our vision, values and brand.

“We’re looking forward to collaborating, launching Moxy Sydney Airport with a bang and becoming a key player in the Sydney hotel scene.”

HWBK business director, Edwina Brook, added: “The partnership with this distinctive Marriott International brand presents an exciting opportunity to both showcase and help craft a completely different kind of airport hotel experience.

“Moxy Sydney Airport will break all the rules of a conventional hotel stay – from check in at the bar, to the stylish industrial design, tech-enabled rooms, vibrant communal spaces and inspired activations. It represents the changing face of travel in Australia, and we’re excited to be part of it.”
