Royal Caribbean’s family favourite on show in the sunshine state

Royal Caribbean International held its biggest event ever over the weekend, a one day only experience titled, ‘The Royal Caribbean Beach Club’.

Brisbane’s Streets Beach was transformed into a custom Quantum Of The Seas experience, giving Queenslanders a taste of what the fan favourite ship has to offer.

Thousands flocked to the one day event where a glimpse of Royal Caribbean adventures were presented alongside a sand sculpture (the largest ever built in Australia) of one the fleets most innovative ships.

Adding to the ultimate beach club vibes was the DJ playing holiday anthems, deck chairs on the beach and a giveaway to win one of four 7- night family cruise holidays to the South Pacific on Quantum. Attendees also received an exclusive 15% off deal to book their next adventure on the ship at the Flight Centre booth.

“We were so excited for Queenslanders of all ages to immerse themselves in the adventure and relaxation of the most innovative ship that calls Brisbane home, Quantum Of The Seas,” VP and MD Australia New Zealand, Royal Caribbean, Gavin Smith, said.

“It was fantastic to see so many experiencing a taster of what their ultimate holiday can be, and we look forward to seeing even more Queenslander families and friends cruising with us for their next holiday.”

To unveil the experience exclusive to Brisbane, the cruise line partnered with radio personality, cruise convert and Queenslander Emily Jade O’Keeffe, who took part in a family photoshoot at the sand sculpture of Quantum and relaxed with her family throughout the day.

“Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Of The Seas delivered one of the best holidays my family has ever been on,” O’Keeffe said.

“My kids loved spending quality time with just our little family unit, hanging ten on the FlowRider and indoor skydiving with RipCord by iFly. I wanted to help give Queenslanders a taste of what makes a Royal Caribbean holiday so special, so they could experience the fun and excitement my family had, by helping launch the Royal Caribbean Beach Club. My family also joined me today, and they had such a great experience reliving some of their favourite moments of our last cruise holiday.”

Royal Caribbean has generated more than $53AUD million for the local Queensland economy since first setting sail from Brisbane in November 2022, and numbers are expected to continue to rise as the cruise line continues to grow its presence in the sunshine state.

Onboard the Quantum Of The Seas, guests can enjoy adrenaline-pumping experiences, including 40,000 bumper car rides, 14,000 RipCord by iFly skydiving experiences and 20,000 North Star viewing trips.

The innovative ship will return to Brisbane on 28 October for a second consecutive summer season, which is already proving to be popular. On Royal Caribbean’s website, adventurers can book 2023-2024 cruises setting sail for three to 15 nights to destinations like the Queensland coast, the South Pacific and New Zealand.
