Snoop Dogg gets the full Scottish welcome at Glasgow airport

U.S rap star Snoop Dogg was treated to a bagpipe rendition of his classic, ‘Still D.R.E’ upon landing in the Scottish capital earlier in March.

Arriving to prepare for a gig on 17 January, the west coast superstar appeared impressed with the bagpipe version of his song.

Glasgow airport also gave a true Scots welcome to the first returning A380 in three years, setting up a public viewing area for members of the public.

“The return of the A380 is purely demand driven. We’ve seen sustained demand from the Scottish market,” UK divisional vice president, Emirates, Richard Jewsbury, said.

“Dubai is the number one destination, but we’re seeing really good flows down to Australia, Thailand, the Indian subcontinent – which is very popular, particularly for VFR (visiting friends and relatives) traffic – and the Indian Ocean. It’s about growing the capacity back. As we go into the summer period, we’re expecting more visitors and inbound traffic from around the network.”
