Railbookers Group bolsters ANZ staff as rail travel flourishes

Railbookers Group has announced an expansion of it’s Australia and New Zealand based staff to help meet the ever growing demand for travel.

Lachlan Burnet has been appointed as the new business development manager for Australia and New Zealand along with Elizabeth Krstevski as inside sales manager for the same region.

These Sydney based additions, along with the ongoing hiring of travel consultants will continue to support both growth and trade partners in response to the thriving demand for holidays with Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations.

“The world has opened back up for travel, and Australians are responding in record numbers by choosing to include independent rail trips as part of their upcoming holidays,” said Jim Marini, group senior vice president, Railbookers.

“I am so excited for the rapid growth of our Australia and New Zealand based staff. This is a continuation of Railbookers group’s expansion to satisfy the demand for international rail vacations, including ongoing hiring for sales roles.

“With Railbookers group, Australians can book worldwide rail in Australian dollars up to two years out, which sets us apart from everyone and gives our travel advisors a competitive advantage.”

Burnet joins the company with over 25 industry experience, previously working as a reservations agent, retail consultant and tour guide before spending the last 15 years in sales and business development roles.

“I am looking forward to working with the local travel trade to increase their knowledge of the fantastic Railbookers product range and in turn, helping the trade grow their own businesses through increased sales,” he said.

Krstevski also has an esteemed history of over 15 years in travel, making a number of operations and management roles her own as well as a recent role as sales team leader.

Railbookers has seen historic growth and success in Australia over the past year, largely thanks to the ability to book overseas holidays in Australian dollars for dates as far as two years out.

With an offering of over 6,000 itineraries,  Railbookers is the perfect choice for Aussie travellers looking to make the most of their voyages abroad, including luxury train journeys as well as multi-country sightseeing trips.

Railbookers offers travellers a range of advantages, including:

  • Unparalleled knowledge from rail experts who can help identify the best itineraries and accommodation for all lengths and styles of travel.
  • Access to exclusive inventory at some of the most in demand trains and hotels, not otherwise available to the general public.
