$19 flights! Here’s how to make the most of Webjet’s Alice Springs sale

Australia, NT, Ellery Creek Big Hole, lake and waterhole in West McDonnell Range national park

Want to see the sights in the heart of Australia? Here’s three of the best things in Alice Springs to do for a steal in 2023 thanks to a flash sale from Webjet.

If you’ve always wanted to see Uluru, that dream might be about to become a (very cheap) reality as Webjet offer flights to the red centre for as little as $19 with the sale running until midnight 20 January (or until sold out).

Headline deals include Sydney to Uluru from $19, Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Uluru from $30, Hobart to Uluru from $108 and Adelaide to Alice Springs from $115.

The sale applies to departures from 16 January 2023 to 5 April 2023, giving travellers access to a massive range of unique NT events, experiences and cultural icons – from Alice Springs’ FabALICE Festival in March, through to Uluru’s Field of Light and Sounds of Silence dinner under the stars.

It’s not just Uluru that should be luring you to the red centre, here are the top three spots we recommend checking out:

  • Camp at Rainbow Valley – Known for scenic sandstone bluffs that are a favourite among photographers, the valley is most impressive in the soft light of early mornings or sunset and is full of rich archaeological sites.
  • Go for a swim at Ellery Creek – One of the best waterholes in the top end, an easy one hours drive west of Alice Springs. Known for cold, deep water and impressive rocky escarpments.
  • Meet the wildlife – Alice Springs has an abundance of some of Australia’s most interesting desert animals. You can head to the Alice Springs reptile centre, or find your own path to search for favourites like the Molluch Horridus (Thorny Devil).
