Silver Explorer in the Arctic.

Aussie small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, has released one of its biggest, longest and best value voyage packages ever, offering a luxe 82-night fly, cruise and stay journey right across the Pacific Ocean from Darwin to Chile.

For bookings made before 12 October 12 2022, Cruise Traveller’s exclusive package with Silversea offers savings of $26,755 per person, free business class flights at the start and end of the holiday, economy flights in South America, six nights of accommodation and 10 day tours embracing some of the most iconic sights in South America.

The ultra-luxe, all-inclusive voyage aboard the five-star, 144-guest expedition ship, Silver Explorer, spans 68 nights and will take in tropical islands in Indonesia, PNG, The Solomons, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, the Cook Islands, Pitcairn Island, Easter Island and Chile’s Robinson Crusoe Island which was home to a marooned sailor for four years in the early 1700s, inspiring Daniel Defoe’s celebrated novel.

Cruise Traveller’s 82-night ‘Deeper Discoveries of the Pacific and South America’ begins on 11 September 2023, with a complimentary Business Class flight from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne to Darwin for a night’s stay before guests board Silver Explorer.

The ship boasts a fine dining restaurant and alfresco grill restaurant, two lounges, panoramic library, fitness centre and spa, two deck whirlpools, 12 Zodiac boats for off-ship exploration and an expert expedition team.

The ship’s itinerary takes in 55 destinations between Darwin and Valparaiso in Chile including places few people have heard of such as the Auri Islands of Indonesia, PNG’s Fergusson Islands, the white sands and coconut palms of Euaiki Island in Tonga and deserted Henderson Island near Pitcairn Island, where the Bounty mutineers hid in the 18th Century.

Also on the itinerary are the famous stone statues of Easter Island and the picture-postcard spectacle of Bora Bora in Tahiti and the turquoise lagoons of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.

After disembarking in Chile, guests will begin a two-week fly-tour exploration of South America embracing the Incan ruins of Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu in Peru, a luxury rail journey through the Peruvian Highlands aboard the famous Hiram Bingham train, awe-inspiring Iguassu Falls and the cultural flavours of Buenos Aires where guests can dance the tango, feast on Argentina’s feted meats and meet gauchos, or cowboys, on Argentine ranches.

Cruise Traveller’s exclusive 82-night ‘Deeper Discoveries of the Pacific and South America’ package is available from $93,595 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$26,755.
