Rowdy Jetstar passenger booted off to uproarious applause

A Jetstar passenger was removed from a Phuket-Sydney flight over the weekend after causing a ruckus on the plane.

The passenger, who is understood to be an Australian woman, was filmed yelling and arguing with fellow travellers because “she wanted to sit by the window,” according to social media posts.

What began as a request to change seats reportedly turned aggressive, with the woman yelling at other passengers.

One video showed the woman saying to the camera “what’s happening habibi.” Another video showed the passenger acting more aggressively, shouting “I’m out, I’m out” as she’s trying to exit her seat.

She was then filmed shouting “thanks a f***ing lot,” as she was climbing into the aisle to remove her luggage from the overhead locker. As she was finally making her way off the plane the Jetstar passengers broke out in applause, but she turned around before exiting the flight to continue arguing with other passengers.

She charged towards one passenger and asked: “What did you call me?” Two other passengers stood up and asked the woman to leave – shooing her off and saying goodbye. The rowdy lady was heard asking a flight attendant “Am I supposed to ignore it?”, with the crew member nodding to her in affirmation.

A video showed the unpopular passenger hovering at the exit speaking loudly and pointing at Jetstar flyers before eventually exiting the plane.

Jetstar confirmed there was a woman who was removed from one of its flights after becoming “disruptive and using abusive and inappropriate language”.

“An unruly passenger was escorted off our flight prior to take off in Phuket after becoming disruptive and using abusive and inappropriate language towards other customers and our team members,” a spokesperson told news.com.au.

“Airport security in Phuket was called and the passenger was escorted off the flight. We take safety and security very seriously and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated on our aircraft.”
