Visit USA Australia appoints new secretariat and events manager

Visit USA Australia announced the appointment of Aida Osta to the position of secretariat and events manager for the organisation.

Osta’s appointment comes after a competitive request for proposal process, with the role commencing on 15 August 2022.

She joins Visit USA Australia with more than 25 years of tourism industry experience spanning multiple sectors across the global tourism economy. Osta brings experience in the development and leadership of tourism strategy, program management, strategic partnerships, commercial management and events & marketing management.

Osta, who is the founder and director of Detoured, a tourism consultancy based in Melbourne, will personally take on the role of secretariat and events manager via her company. Within the tourism industry, Osta has also held roles with Visit California, Travel Counsellors, Helloworld and Qantas Holidays.

Visit USA Australia also welcomed Chris Watson of Chris Watson Travel to the Visit USA committee.
