Iggy Azalea feuds with American Airlines

Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea had a public feud with American Airlines last week after she claimed the airline left her one-year-old son “stranded” at the airport.

Azalea took to Twitter to criticise the airline for allegedly selling her seats on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles while the gate was “still open.”

She tweeted screenshots of the messages between herself and the airline, adding in another tweet, “I wanted to tell any families booking travel be careful flying with young kids on @AmericanAir.

“I was flying with my son & they sold our seats while the gate was still open then refused to take our bags off the plane although every other flight was sold out for that night.”

She continued: “I explained why stranding me is one thing but taking a babies luggage is pretty shit. There’s stuff he really needs. They do not care. lucky I booked a different airline but the average person would’ve been ass out and fucked i so just wanted to warn other moms… Be careful!”

However, a source who allegedly works for American Airlines told TMZ that Azalea showed up to the airport half an hour before the plane was scheduled to take off and a member of her crew was held up during check in.

“Boarding ended 15 minutes before departure, which left Iggy and co. only 15 minutes to check baggage, get through security, and get to the gate. And, when she finally reached the gate, the door had already closed,” the source told the publication.

Azalea insisted that the flight was still boarding when she arrived at the gate in her previous Tweet, as she shared her direct messages to American Airlines, that was met with no reply.

American Airlines later responded to her claim, saying that they would investigate the situation, to which the rapper responded on Twitter.

Azalea went on to say that Delta Airlines was the “superior choice” and then told her followers that she eventually made it home at 3am.

“Anyway on the bright side I was SOOO proud of onyx (Azalea’s son) guys. He was so good! We didn’t get home til 3am after all that … he didn’t cry once! Ughhh I’m so lucky to be his mama! He makes any bad day good, I just love my baby so damn muuuuch,” she wrote.
