Austria: Where culture meets scenery

Whether your clients are eager to get their culture fix, strap on their hiking boots or race down the slopes, in Austria, they can get it all.

It’s a small, easily explored country with a big reputation: fascinating history beguiling culture, and stunning landscapes and fascinating peaks.

With its central location (eight neighbouring countries!), Austria has always been Europe’s melting point.

The Habsburg Empire, which had its seat in Vienna, spanned a territory from modern Spain to Romania, and left the country with iconic architectural treasures and impressive art collections.

Within a five-hour drive, you can travel from the alps’ most rugged peaks, past crystal-blue lakes to sun-soaked vineyards where glasses (or bottles) of Grüner Veltliner can be enjoyed at local wine taverns. Austria has it all!

But, if there is one thing your clients need to recover from the past 20 months, it’s Austrian gemütlichkeit (pronounced guh-MOOT-lih-kite).

Gemütlichkeit is the Austrian way of living. Its essence hangs somewhere between relaxed wellbeing, an open attitude and a feeling of profound comfort.
