“We call it the triple win”: Global Work & Travel launches new affiliate program

Global Work & Travel has announced the launch of its new Global Affiliate Program, offering a fresh way for travel agents to earn commission.

Over 40 partners, including independent travel agents and notable brands such as Lonely Planet and Finder.com.au, have already signed up to Global Work and Travel’s purpose-built affiliate platform.

With $400 in commission per referral sale, some affiliates have already earned over $7,000 during the three-month pilot program, according to the company.

Jürgen Himmelmann, co-founder and CEO of Global Work & Travel, said the new affiliate program is an opportunity to help the travel industry post-JobKeeper.

“We predict the youth travel segment will be the first to bounce back when international travel borders open up, and our new Global Affiliate Program is a great way to support travel agents with a new way to sell travel [now that JobKeeper has ended],” he said.

“Anyone can apply to be a global affiliate – we welcome applications from the travel industry as well as influencers, travel writers, media partners, businesses, or anyone else with a network and audience interested in travel.

“We call it the triple win – someone gets to see the world, the affiliate gets paid for the introduction and we get to serve another customer.”

Himmelmann said every affiliate will receive dedicated support from their own program manager, who will commit time to onboarding and training on Global Work & Travel’s trips, product offering and technology.

Each program manager will also provide assistance with the platform and marketing materials to better assist affiliates in learning how to monetise their existing databases and contact lists, according to the Global Work & Travel chief.
