Travel industry leaders to share their top marketing tips via new initiative

A new event series for marketing decision-makers will kick off later this month featuring a number of senior leaders from the travel industry.

TRENDtalks is the latest initiative by Are Media to equip marketers with the latest consumer, cultural, and category trends, insights and research.

Travel is the first TRENDtalk category, with panel speakers including Robert Dougan (executive general manager of strategy and research, Tourism Australia), Andrew Waddel (general manager for Australia, Tourism New Zealand) and Anthony Laver (group general manager of sales and marketing, Scenic Group).

Moderated by Gourmet Traveller editor Joanna Hunkin, the expert panel will examine how the travel industry will continue to recover from the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, and what it needs to do to restore confidence with the travelling public.

The free virtual event will be supported with female audience insights and specially-commissioned research by Are Media.

Open to marketers and those working in the travel industry, TRENDtalks: Travel will be held on Tuesday 30 March at 10am.

Andrew Cook, director of sales at Are Media, said: “With market conditions and consumer behaviour evolving so quickly, marketers are always on the look-out for emerging trends to help navigate unprecedented times.

“TRENDtalks has been created to shine a light on specific categories, where industry leaders will frankly share their outlook on the sector and the global trend forecast
