How Travel Weekly has got your back during the COVID-19 crisis

As the travel industry tries to navigate its way through what will be a defining time for all, we at Travel Weekly want to ensure you, dear reader, that we are with you every step of the way.

On top of keeping you informed and entertained on a weekdaily basis with our online newsletter, we’ve come up with a few other ways to help you recover from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis and come out the other side stronger than ever.

From now on, Travel Weekly’s Friday newsletters will only contain positive, feel-good stories to make sure you finish your working week on a high note. We’ll revisit some of our most-read yarns and chuck in a fresh story or two, all the while keeping the trademark Travel Weekly tone you’ve grown to know and love.

We’ve also created a support network on Facebook called the Travel Trade Life Raft that will not only provide relevant and up-to-date advice and resources for anyone working in the travel industry, but also a safe space for people to share their stories and learn from one another.

We also encourage those who become a member of the group to post shout-outs to people in the industry doing good in this time of need, questions you would like answered and, of course, check in with one another! If you’re not feeling okay, chances are you’re not alone.

For those interested in joining, please click HERE or search ‘Travel Trade Life Raft’ on Facebook.

Finally, we’re currently offering all our readers the chance to receive our special ‘Work From Home’ issue FREE of charge. Just tell us where you live by clicking HERE and we’ll send it your way once it comes off the printing press.

If you’re not feeling okay and/or need some guidance, Beyond Blue has some great tips HERE for coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, which we encourage everyone to read.

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) also has some great resources for travel agents seeking business advice, which you can find HERE.

And Australia’s consumer watchdog has got some great advice for business and consumer rights and obligations during this time. You can find that HERE.

Most importantly, we want to remind you that this time will pass and the world will keep on travelling, as it always has.

If you have any suggestions on what you’d like to see more of from us, or just want to have a chat, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at editor@travelweekly.com.au.
