AGENTS BEWARE: Australia’s first-ever cruise metasearch engine launches

Cruisewatch has expanded its AI-powered cruise search engine to Australia – the first of its kind in the region.

Offering over 10,000 trips and more than 25 cruise lines and destinations across the globe, Cruisewatch claims to provide a new form of market transparency in the cruise industry.

By comparing various price sources, the service is designed to help customers find the best cruise for their needs, while staying up to date with price changes in the market.

The platform is a next-generation cruise advisor based on artificial intelligence and big data analysis, processing over 100,000 price points daily.

“Using an intuitive website that even nan can use, holidaymakers can easily find their preferred cruise at the perfect price,” according to the company.

The metasearch engine also offers customers a free price drop monitoring service when signing up. The customer gives Cruisewatch the key information about their dream cruise and, in return, they receive tailored price alerts when their dream cruise is at its best price.

In the past, Cruisewatch had initially concentrated on the American cruise market, but with cruising growing in popularity here in Australia, co-founder and CEO Markus Stumpe believes the local market is ready for a new kind of data-driven service.

“With the launch, we’re also giving Australian cruise lovers the opportunity to benefit from our unique data system,” he said.

“Our price drop monitoring system makes sure our customers never miss a great deal again.”

The start-up also plans to expand its presence to countries beyond the US and Australia.
