Sun Island Tours is offering agents affected by the Excite Holidays collapse “all the assistance or support they may require” with their Mediterranean bookings.

The wholesaler said in a statement that agents with clients who have purchased Greek ferry tickets through Excite can turn to Sun Island Tours for advice and even fulfilment needs via the agent portal, where no accommodation or booking fees are attached.

“While we understand that the ferry companies involved have not been paid, Sun Island is primed to assist with re-booking any ferry services for affected agents,” general manager John Polyviou said.

“We will try to ensure that in most cases agents won’t need to re-issue tickets allowing their clients to travel with their existing paper tickets.”

Apart from the Greek ferry tickets, affected agents can also call on Sun Island Tours for advice on Greece and Mediterranean products and ground support to help them get back on track.

Sun Island Tours is the latest travel company to lend a hand to agents in the wake of Excite’s closure, after Viva Holidays, Beyond Travel, International Rail, STUBA, and Global Group Travel Services all offered support.
