“Is this a dream?”: Flight attendant hilariously greets passengers from overhead luggage bin
Passengers on board a Southwest Airlines flight have been greeted from an overhead luggage cabin by their flight attendant.
Talk about getting creative!
A Southwest Airlines flight attendant caught passengers flying from Nashville to Atlanta on Monday unaware when she greeted those boarding from above, in an overhead luggage cabin.
“Is this a dream?” passenger Veronica Lloyd wrote on her social media post alongside a picture of the flight attendant. Lloyd followed up with another tweet a few minutes later, this time with a recording of the flight attendant and a caption that reads: “I can’t get over how weird I find this. @SouthwestAir please get it together”.

Southwest Airlines told Travel Weekly its “employees are known for demonstrating their sense of humour and unique personalities.”
“In this instance, one of our Flight Attendants attempted to have a brief moment of fun with Customers during boarding,” the airline said in a statement. “Of course, this is not our normal procedure, and Southwest Crews always maintain Safety as their top priority.”
Lloyd, who was reportedly flying home to Philadelphia after a girls’ night in Nashville, told CNN the flight attendant was “up there for about five minutes” and that more than half of the flight boarded before she got down.
“It was pretty hilarious,” Lloyd said.
The comments in Lloyd’s tweets were equally chipper about it:
“How about that? I thought I needed a ticket to fly. Turns out I could just be a carry on,” one Twitter user writes.

“She’s just demonstrating what ultra basic economy would look like,” another quipped.

Some questioned whether the image was real – others urged Southwest not to fire the flight attendant for the incident after the airline replied to Lloyd’s tweet.
“aw guys don’t fire her just make sure she is in the overhead bin the right way so other luggage can fit,” a user wrote.
