The Aussie resort redefining resort dining

The Aussie resort redefining resort dining

Start getting excited, folks, because the countdown to Daydream Island’s reopening is on!

Following two-years and $100 million worth of extensive redevelopment, the 4.5-star premium destination resort is ready and raring to welcome guests and show off its stylish new digs.

When your client (or yourself, we don’t judge) isn’t relaxing in one of the resorts refurbished rooms, lounging by the revitalised pool, taking in the sights of the Islands iconic Living Reef or just luxuriating in the island lifestyle, they’ll want to be checking out the resorts new signature dining offerings.

The redevelopment will see the unveiling of three mouthwatering new restaurants and three new bars each distinct in their flavours and vibes.

With Keith Le Fevre at the helm as executive chef, the resort seeks to highlight local flavours and ingredients and make use of local producers.

Here’s a rundown of Daydream Island’s innovative and diverse food and beverage offering:

Infinity

As the resorts premium dining offering, Infinity will boast a delicious Asian fusion menu which highlights the best of Queensland’s local produce and offers expansive views of the Whitsundays.

Check out its private Teppanyaki Suite, if you’re after a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Graze Interactive Dining

This one is a visual feast as well as a literal one, with draping greenery, a huge chandelier, shutter installation and huge fan all overlooking the Living Reef.

Graze will be an interactive market place with live cooking stations and a range of diverse international cuisines.

Set out like a modern buffet, the restaurant brings in fresh local produce every day and is in the main lobby in the Atrium. It will be open for breakfast and dinner.

Inkstone Kitchen and Bar

For those after something a little closer to home, Inkstone will focus on modern Australian cuisine with local produce and native flavours at the heart of every dish.

Inkstone seeks to bring out the best in steaks and seafood with a modern twist.

And for Deluxe Room and Suite guests, the restaurant hosts a premium breakfast as well as lunch and dinner for all.

Bars

Whether you’re lazing by the pool or looking for a more intimate setting, Daydream Island Resort’s bar offering has a little something for everyone. Guests can quench their thirst at the poolside Barefoot Bar in the swimming hub which will also have a range of burgers, sliders, pork ribs and chicken wings with fresh smoothies, milkshakes, wine beer and the all-important tropical cocktails.

Specialty gin bar Tonic, located in the central resort building, extends outdoors and overlooks the Living Reef while showcasing light meals, tapas and sharing plates.

Daydream Island is currently taking bookings from 10th April 2019 onwards, to book please contact the reservations team at reservations@daydreamisland.com or go here.
