Las Vegas now has a museum dedicated to weed culture

Just in case you need another out of this world attraction to tick off on your next trip to Vegas, a Cannabis Museum has just opened its doors.

And it looks… Overwhelming to say the least.

Cannabition Cannabis Museum represents the city’s first immersive cannabis museum and the world’s only cannabis-themed attraction of its kind.

Its exhibits are made up of elaborate, cannabis-inspired installations built by leading experiential exhibit and event designers.

You can interact with (and take selfies with of course) unique, larger-than-life art pieces, including a slide that empties into a pool of handmade foam “nugs,” enormous 7-foot buds and “Bongzilla,” the world’s largest bong at 24-feet tall.

The museum is being touted as an entertaining, educational and highly photogenic journey through 12 “Instagrammable” exhibits, providing unique opportunities to interact with cannabis history, science, wellness and culture.

Here’s a rundown of the highlight exhibitions:

420 – There’s a giant 9-ft tall illuminated 420 to pose in front of and climb on, which we’re sure will become a Instagram must for all Vegas visitors.

Seed –  After traveling through an “underground” passage, guests will experience the earth’s strata and smell the richness of fertile soil. The exhibit’s centrepiece, a giant cannabis seed shaped like a bed, beckons guests to lie down and listen to the “sexy 70s sound” of a seed growing. Sounds like a wild ride, to us.

Harvest – Fancy a stroll through an ethereal forest of vibrantly coloured buds big enough to hug?

As they walk through the brilliantly hued forest, visitors learn how hemp can be used as food, how the cannabis industry has contributed to the livelihoods of regional economies and how cannabis-use promotes health, well-being, peace of mind, and biological homeostasis.45044688241_72ce9e706d_h

High – In this room, you’re supposed to pretend you’re being ‘exhaled’ through some giant lips, slide down a slippery dip and land in a giant pool filled with foam cannabis ‘nugs’. It’s our favorite.

Indica – Strains considered “indica” dominant are believed to have an intense effect on the body, causing relaxation and sleep. So, of course, there is a giant Buddha in this room for you to curl up and take a nap on. Or pose for an Instagram, your choice.

Sativa – After leaving Buddha’s lap, check out another headspace in the sativa room. With floor-to-ceiling cloud formations doused with bold colours and sounds, this room represents the cerebral and energy infusing effects of Sativa dominant strains, also known as a “head high” by cannabis users and patients.

Ritual –  Here you an can simulate smoking from a massive, oversized Raw papers joint; swing from a Pax vaporizer tree; play with a 6-foot-tall CannAmerica gummy; and have a real-life encounter with “Bongzilla,” Cannabition’s massive, 24-foot-tall bong designed and built by Jerome Baker Designs and backlit by a mural of the Tokyo skyline.
