The best of the best in Aussie accomodation
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in award-winning accomodation?
Well wonder no more, because as of this week, Booking.com have awarded 549,937 properties with a 2017 Guest Review Award for consistently delivering excellent guest experiences.
The best news? You can stay in any one of them – and they aren’t all hotels.
For the first time, apartments have overtaken hotels as the top-awarded accommodation type, making up 30 per cent of the award-winning properties this year. In fact, four out of five of the top-awarded accommodation types are something other than a traditional hotel – like apartments, guest houses, bed and breakfasts and holiday homes.
Recent research carried out by Booking.com also shows that one in three travellers would rather stay in a holiday rental rather than a hotel – plus one in five said they would list their own home as accomodation.
This trend continues in Australia, with a ton of non-hotel accomodation being recognised.
The awards are based off over 140 million reviews, and include a ton of killer Aussie properties – 10,235 properties with an overall average guest review score of 8.9 received the award.
So take a look at these gems in Australia – and start planning a weekend (or week, or month) away, stat.
