Helloworld signs new preferred travel insurer

Helloworld signs new preferred travel insurer

SureSave, provider of travel insurance in the agency channel, has entered a hot new agreement to become one of Helloworld Travel Limited’s preferred travel insurance providers, as of July 1 2017.

Previously, Cover-More was listed as the sole provider of insurance for Helloworld, signing a five-year agreement in 2015, however the agency has since added SureSave to the mix to give agents more choice.

SureSave, which is part of World Nomads Group and is owned by health insurance group nib Health Funds, has a good rep for having an ace call centre, as well as a huge stack of Business Development Managers (BDM’s) across Australia.

Speaking on the news, Ross McDonald, General Manager – Distribution at SureSave, said, “Helloworld and SureSave are both dedicated to meeting the needs of the modern traveller.

We’re focused on providing the best possible solutions for travellers so they can go out and explore the world with peace of mind.

“As well as covering travellers with our SureSave product, our experienced BDM’s look forward to sharing their skills, knowledge and understanding of travel insurance to assist agents on how to sell insurance with confidence and grow their sales.”

SureSave transformed the traditional Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) last year, making travel insurance easier for travellers and agents to understand.

Available in print and online versions, the PDS is specifically designed to meet the changing behaviours and lifestyle of today’s traveller, offering a simple and smart way to explain what is covered in a policy.

“Our PDS describes policy cover in terms of ‘events’ that can happen to travellers before or during a trip, making it much easier to use,” Mcdonald added.

SureSave breaks down otherwise complicated policies into a simple and easy guide to travel insurance, using clear visuals and wording and a friendly layout.

“The electronic version allows travellers to browse the policy from their smartphones or mobile devices.”

All SureSave policies also provide travellers with a 24 hour Emergency Assistance service based in Australia and a free travel safety app to support travellers when they need it the most.
