Intrepid launches Food’s 50 for Better initiative
Intrepid Travel has launched a new initiative that will give fans of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants the chance to have their rice cake and eat it too. The Melbourne-based tour operator is welcoming foodies and the world’s best chefs to town with a Food’s 50 for Better campaign which will see Intrepid make a $50 donation from every food trip to a social enterprise restaurant.
$50 from each Intrepid Real Food Adventure sold in the month of April will be donated through The Intrepid Foundation to Nyum Nyum, a social enterprise restaurant in Cambodia which aims to help break the cycle of poverty through hospitality training.

Broome, Kimberley & Beyond’s 2017/18 brochure cover Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands, located off the Northern WA coast. Cossies Beach at Cocos (Keeling) Islands came number one in the coveted Australia’s Best Beaches list for 2017, while Dolly Beach took out #7 on the list.
Divers and twitchers (bird watchers) have been travelling from all over the world to visit Christmas and Cocos for some time. Travel agents Get a Taste of Central America, with G Adventures
G Adventure’s Microfamils in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, are designed to educate agents on the Small Group Tour operator’s trips in Central America as well as the unique experiences available through G Adventures style of travel.
Central America expert and CEO (Chief Experience Officer), Ronny Alvarado, was on hand to guide over 30 agents around their own cities, sharing insights into his home country of Costa Rica and G Adventures’ various styles of travel.

The Microfamils were a huge hit, with agents reporting that they came away feeling inspired, and more comfortable to sell Central America to their clients after getting a much better idea of the culture, history and attractions in this fascinating part of the world.
