Australia has been voted as the most desirable destination to spend Christmas Day.

According to an report by News.com.au, most Aussies love a hot Christmas and wouldn’t swap it for a white one, but interestingly, those in the Northern hemisphere, feel the exact same preferring to don shorts to thick coats.

Research conducted on behalf of ALDI in the UK, the US and Australia rated us as the most desirable destination for Christmas Day, the paper reports.

Surveying 2000 people online throughout UK, America and Australia, the supermarket chain found the top reason international counterparts wanted an Australian celebration was our casual, relaxed approach.

“Americans and Brits also rated the warm weather a major drawcard, followed by the opportunity to spend the day outdoors”, per the paper.
