Victorian Tourism Conference spotlights digital revolution

Author, keynote speaker and tourism industry expert, Steve Sammartino, will set the scene for the 2016 Victorian Tourism Conference in Bendigo this 25 – 26 July, when he puts the spotlight on the digital revolution that is taking the global tourism industry by storm.

Our world is changing – and fast. Consumers have less time to spend planning their travel and, in response, tourism technologies are evolving at a rapid pace. Online research and bookings are at an all-time high and consumers are sharing their travel plans and experiences at every opportunity on new platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

Under the conference theme of Experience Evolution, Steve is one of many experts who will uncover essential insights into how tourism businesses can thrive and adapt in this new environment across two days of presentations, hands on workshops and networking sessions.

Steve Sammartino is a business marketing professional, thought leader on the subject of technology and business and author of The Great Fragmentation: And Why the Future of All Business is Small (Wiley, 2014). Having worked in the world’s biggest advertising agency and managing ground-breaking projects like the launch of a Lego space shuttle into earth’s orbit, Steve understands how to make an impact.

Joining him at the 2016 VTIC Tourism Conference is a stellar line up of experts including Head of Travel at Google Dougal McKenzie, Director at Thinktank Social Sam Mutimer, Destination Marketing Senior Sales Executive at TripAdvisor Jessica Quinlan and many more who will arm attendees with vital knowledge and tools for success.
