Scenic Ever Wondered sessions throughout June
Scenic has announced its second round of Ever Wondered sessions for 2016 which will run nationwide from 7 June to 30 June.
In partnership with local travel agents, Scenic is inviting agents to bring along their clients to an Ever Wondered session to find out more about a range of different Scenic products – the new Scenic Eclipse ocean cruising program launching in August 2018; 2017 Europe River Cruising; 2017 Canada, Alaska & USA; 2017 South America and 2016/2017 South East Asia River Cruising.
Driving guests to book with their local Scenic agent, the free sessions will take place over four weeks and will be hosted by the local Scenic team of experts who will be on hand to answer any questions and help guests decide which itinerary is right for them. Special offers are also available on the day. For anyone that is unable to attend, Scenic is also holding free webinars.
All sessions are free but seats are limited so pre-booking is essential. Agents are encouraged to register their clients online and attend with them on the day.

Active Travel to immerse Australians in the exotic cultures of India
Active Travel, an Australian travel company specialising in Indian adventures, will take Australians on a tour of India’s remote north-eastern region this November to uncover the ancient monasteries, spectacular valleys, colourful festivals and diverse cultural events of Sikkim and Nagaland.
Departing on November 23, 2016, and part of Active Travel’s new ‘Cultural’ range of experiences, the 22-day tour will allow travellers to explore India in-depth, as they visit small tribal villages, take part in a Sikkimese cooking class, and learn about Indian history and culture.
Hosted by experienced Australian adventure guide, Mike Taverner, the tour will focus on Sikkim and Nagaland, two states located in the north and north-east of India, famous for their beautiful mountain scenery and rich cultural heritage.
The 22-day tour is available for A$7864 per person, twin-share, and includes accommodation, 49 meals, flights in India, train tickets, sightseeing, transport and entrance fees. A special single supplement of just 19 per cent is available – A$1514 extra, subject to availability. International airfares are extra, and can be booked through Active Travel.
Flash Camp brings comfort camping to Kakadu
Visitors to Kakadu will be able to camp in comfort and style from July, with pop-up hotel operator, Flash Camp, setting up at Cooinda Camping Ground for the dry season.
‘Flash Camp @ Kakadu’ will offer bespoke bell tent accommodation in the heart of Kakadu National Park, for those seeking an effortless camping experience while exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Listed site.
Accommodation will include double, twin and family bell tents with spring-foam mattresses on pallet bases, quality bed linen, fresh towels, bamboo furniture, toiletries and Armadillo & Co rugs.
Guests will also have access to newly renovated toilet and shower facilities, barbeques, as well as a restaurant, bar and pool at the adjoining Cooinda Lodge.
“Flash Camp will deliver a memorable experience for those looking for something more upmarket than a traditional camping option,” said Brett Skinner, General Manager of Cooinda Lodge, which is jointly managed and staffed by Kakadu Tourism and Accor Hotels.
NITMILUK TOURS GOES UNDERGROUND
Nitmiluk Tours has taken on the management of the Cutta Cutta Nature Park touring product, running guided tours through the tropical limestone caves system which hold significant scientific, cultural and historical significance to Australia and the Top End.
Delve 15 metres below the surface to discover this amazing caves system formed millions of years ago and now home to a variety of native wildlife including the rare Ghost and Horseshoe bats and 170 species of birds, including the Hooded Parrot and the endangered Gouldian Finch.
Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park is located 27km south of Katherine and is easily accessible from the Stuart Highway. In addition to the Caves system, a Visitor Centre and kiosk, the park offers a Tropical Woodland walk, with information for visitors about the local flora and fauna.
