Albatross adds industry veteran to the team

Albatross Tours is rolling out the welcome mat for a new general manager today, bringing an industry veteran onto the team.

Managing director Euan Landsborough made the announcement, and appointed Edwina Cooke to newly created position with Albatross Tours.

“We are so pleased to welcome Edwina to the Albatross team,” Landsborough said.

“Her wealth of experience will be an incredible asset to our growing business. Her role as the General Manager will enable us, as a team, to be even more dynamic and professional.

“For me personally this massive step forward will create an amazing platform for me to do what I love best – taking the message about our incredible tours deeper and wider in the marketplace.”

With more than 25 years of experience in a range of management roles, Cooke returns to the travel industry with a breadth of experience in sales and marketing, strategic business development, training and professional development under her belt.

Cooke worked with Flight Centre for 15 years and was integral to their early success, and more recently, ran her own successful consulting business, and held management roles with ANZ, Fire Up Coaching and AusIndustry on their Entrepreneur Development programme.

“The company has a well-defined vision and strategic plan, a close-knit team of passionate and empowered staff, and offers a beautiful, unique European touring product.,” Cooke said.

“I look forward to working with the team to build on their successes to date and in further developing strong industry relationships. I am thrilled to be returning to travel, an industry I know and love.”
