Wendy Wu passengers not affected by Yangtze accident

Wendy Wu Tours passengers are reportedly safe after a Yangtze river ferry capsized yesterday with over 450 passengers on board.

Managing director Alan Alcock reassured travel agents today that there were no WWT passengers on board the ferry.

“Thankfully, Wendy Wu Tours does not utilise this cruise company that was involved in the incident. It is our understanding that the Eastern Star vessel primarily carries domestic passengers almost exclusively.”

“Wendy Wu Tours can assure prospective travellers that all seven Victoria Cruises’ vessels, which we primarily use are sailing and safe. All vessels utilised by Wendy Wu Tours adhere to vigorous safety checks as well as standards of quality. “ Victoria Cruises is an American managed company, who has been in operation for 21 years. Their ships have been given the top rating by the Yangtze navigation authority.  Victoria’s vessels all have double-bottom hulls, an important safety feature, and conform to the highest standards for stable river navigation.”

“They have been designed to withstand any type of weather conditions along the Yangtze.  Their captains and crew all adhere strictly to the safety requirements of the navigation authority”.
