ATM 2015 kicks off in Dubai

The 2015 Arabian Travel Market opened in Dubai yesterday, hosting over 2700 exhibits across 86 countries.

The latest exhibits, ranging from hotels and travel agencies, to cruising and entertainment, have welcomed over 23,000 guests from over 150 nations world-wide.

The event, which will run from 4-7 May, will showcase products and services particularly centred around their official theme, family travel. Dubai will showcase 70 national and regional pavilions; Dubai Tourism’s stand alone hosting over 100 of the destination’s tourism industry stakeholders.

This year’s event will offer over 40 seminar and tech theatre sessions, a United Nations World Trade Organization discussion as well as a vast range of exhibits.

“Tourism is an integral part of Dubai’s economy, and the Arabian Travel Market is a key showcase of the emirate’s capabilities and infrastructure, as well as its thriving and diverse travel services on offer. With Dubai Expo 2020 on the horizon, travel and tourism operators will continue to capitalise on exhibitions like ATM, putting in place building blocks for future development,” Emirates Airline, divisional senior vice president commercial operations centre, Sheikh Majid Al Mualla said.
