Hawaiian Sunrise the perfect wake up

Hawaiian Sunrise the perfect wake up

Today, Channel Seven says ‘see ya later’ to Australian shores, and ‘Aloha’ to the hot beaches of Hawaii.

The team for the Sunrise breakfast program have donned their grass skirts and are sipping from coconuts as they broadcast live from the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki this week.

From this morning’s first sunrise until Friday March 13, the Sunrise Family – all 150 of them – are jumping aboard the surfboard for the trip, arriving over the weekend with Sam, Kochie and the crew.

The Sunrise viewer package includes return airfares from Sydney to Honolulu with Jetstar, six nights at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, a Pearl Harbor historic tour and VIP Waikele Shopping tour along with a special Sunrise luau party at the new Big Kahuna Luau in Honolulu.

Hawai`i Tourism Oceania’s country manager Ashlee Galea said Sunrise’s third Hawaiian broadcast is a great chance to show off their islands.

“The show will give us an invaluable opportunity to showcase our unique culture, people, cuisine and music along with insiders tips to the top tourist attractions on the islands,” Galea said.

“Not only will we have Sam and Kochie, Nat and Beretts based in Waikiki, weather presenter Eddy will be on neighbour islands at various locations to give viewers an insight into the diverse experiences the Hawaiian Islands have to offer.”

“We look forward to working with Sunrise and partners Flight Centre and Jetstar to not only bring a week of great television and entertainment, but an opportunity for viewers to follow in Sunrise’s footsteps and travel to Hawai`i themselves with special packages available through Flight Centre to be promoted throughout the show.”

You can keep up to date with the show’s shenanigans be actually tuning in to Channel Seven, or by following all the sneaky action on Instagram with the handle @alohadownunder or the hastag #alohadownunder.
