Hotel Indigo takes to France

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has launched its boutique brand Hotel Indigo in France, with the opening of Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera in the heart of the capital’s entertainment district.

The new hotel marks the 60th Hotel Indigo to open globally, with the opening coinciding with the brand’s 10th anniversary year.

Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera is set against the backdrop of theatres, music halls and opera houses, with a rich culture and nightlife for both locals and tourists.

The property, as with other Hotel Indigo properties, is designed to reflect the surrounding neighbourhood, with the intention that no hotel is the same.

Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera features the Tartare(s) Restaurant inspired by Chef Christophe Raoux, which will explore the concept of raw food through a variety of ingredients including meat, fish, cheese, vegetables and fruit, as well as incorporating a homage to France’s beloved ingredient tartare with a number of Parisian wines.

Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera’s general manager Vincent Poulingue said the hotel is in the ideal location to experience Paris.

“Paris is brimming with history and culture, and this neighbourhood provides the perfect base for exploring our enchanting city,” she said.

“We look forward to welcoming guests and helping them to explore both the famous landmarks and hidden gems located on every corner.”

Vice president of brand management for upscale & luxury brands Europe Tom Rowntree insists that a unique design is at the heart of the hotel’s experience.

“The hotel has been designed to reflect all of the charm and style of this fashionable and dynamic city, to give guests a truly Parisian experience,” Rowntree said.

The Hotel Indigo brand has recently opened properties in Madrid, Rome and St Petersburg, with a reported 13 more in the pipeline.
