Singapore gears up for Grand Prix
By admin

The 2014 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix is preparing to descend upon the Marina Bay Street Circuit this September, bringing entertainment, festivities and celebrities to the fast lane.

From September 12 to 21, this 10-day Grand Prix Singapore event brings guests a ‘Full Steam Ahead’ 12-hour party at Tanjong Beach Club, and A-list parties for the racing community, including gourmet dining, entertainment, fashion shows and a live auction of F1 memorabilia.

Foodies can head to the Epicurean Market, with gourmet samplings and master classes presented by celebrity chefs, while kids can enjoy F1-themed games and activities at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa.

Celebrity entertainment to join the circuit this year includes Jennifer Lopez, Robbie Williams, Asian rock band Mayday, John Legend, Pet Shop Boys and Ziggy Marley.

And for the die-hard fans of Grand Prix racing, travel back in time to 1907 when Singapore had its first racing meet at A Century of Motor Racing in Singapore, where guests can learn about the history of the Grand Prix Season in Singapore.
