Cruise Lines international Association (CLIA) Australasia is preparing for its Cruise Week campaign, with highlights including a national cruise magazine, radio promotions and a new social media strategy.

CLIA Cruise Week runs from September 1 to 8, with the 32-page magazine to be inserted into News Ltd papers around the country on August 31.

CLIA Australasia general manager Brett Jardine said the company will also be running a print advertising campaign in New Zealand and a transTasman social media campaign to engage both existing and potential cruisers.

Magellan Travel has enlisted a new preferred supplier, with the signing of a deal with Micro-Cruising.

The cruise specialist offers 600 itineraries and over 100 suppliers for agents to choose from, giving the Magellan group more choice for its clients.

Contiki has released its new North American brochure for 2015/2016, showcasing the highlights of USA and Canada.

The brochure features 22 new itineraries, including the 55-day Epic Adventure road trip, which takes travellers through 36 states and two Canadian provinces, and a four-day New Year’s Eve celebration in Las Vegas.

Following research from Roy Morgan that shows more Aussies are travelling solo, Scenic Tours is offering a number of single traveller offers on its luxury Europe river cruises in 2015.

The company will offer no single supplement on any cabin category on its ‘Space-Ships’ fleet in March, and October to December, 2015, while from April to September, customers can receive 40% off single supplements for a variety of river cruise itineraries.

Keith Prowse Travel has re-launched its website, and to celebrate, is giving six readers the chance to win a double pass to watch the Sydney Swans vs. Carlton match at Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday July 12 (see blogs for details).

The website revamp reflects a shift in the company’s strategy, and features changes such as additional images of each event experience, simplified product search tools, and more information on available events.
