Midweek Interview with Lee-Ann Hay, Manager, Seaheaven Noosa

The challenge for the industry is…. To keep our product updated and fresh at all times.

The things I like about my job are… The varied roles I get to perform from guest relations through to maintenance, housekeeping and management.

And the frustrations … Balancing the high occupancy/revenue for the owners.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be a… School teacher.

Qantas or Virgin… Qantas – I am a proud member of the Qantas Club.

My proudest moment was…  My proudest moment would have to be being a part of the reopening of Seahaven Noosa following a nine month $16million recreation.  The finished product is amazing.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Can’t tell.

I try to relax by… I am a self-confessed lover of golf. The best form of relaxation is playing golf once a week.

The last time I feared for my life was… Walking through sea snakes in the ocean in Bali.

If I can, I always try to avoid… Door to door salesmen.

I really wish I had… Travelled at a young age.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…  Keep learning.

I don’t understand why… People don’t travel more.

My greatest strength… Would have to be my people skills and problem solving.

If I was prime minister I would… Make Australian travel tax deductible to stimulate the tourism industry.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Buy my children a house.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… Karrie Webb (golf superstar).

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Canada.

My favourite holiday was…  Italy with family.
