Celebrity Cruises dishes up at Taste of Sydney
By admin

Celebrity Cruises' first partnership with Taste of Sydney saw the cruise line deliver a food and beverage matching masterclass at the sixth annual Taste of Sydney festival.

The Sydney food festival was held at Centennial Parklands on Thursday March 13 to Sunday March 16.

Celebrity's masterclass was hosted by associate vice president of food and beverage operations, John Suley.

Guests tucked into a tasting plate paired with matching wines and beers, and learnt the tricks behind successful food-and-drink pairing.

More canapes and martinis were served up at the Celebrity Cruises Lawn Club – a replica of the lawn club onboard Celebrity’s fleet of five Solstice Class cruise ships.

“Celebrity Cruises’ partnership with Taste of Sydney highlights our continuing dedication to achieving the highest levels of consistency, quality and innovation in our onboard culinary experience," Suley said.

"The Celebrity Cruises culinary team proves that dining at sea can be as enjoyable, tasteful and memorable as the best dining experiences on land. I’m delighted to be travelling to Sydney for this event.”

The superliners Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Century will be based in Sydney for the 2014-14 local cruise season, sailing a range of itineraries around Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
