Passengers flying with Hawaiian Airlines can now use their own personal Portable Electronic Devices (PED) in “airplane mode” during all phases of domestic flights from takeoff to landing, and during more phases of international flights as the carrier completed the certification process with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“We applaud the FAA’s new policy and are excited to allow our customers to use their devices throughout their flight when they travel with us,” said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian Airlines president and chief executive officer. “We’re committed to improving the travel experience for our customers.”

 

A surge in travel to the United States by Australians has prompted Australian travel SIM card provider, Anaconda, to offer discounts of up to 52% on call, text and data roaming rates this summer.

Travel retailers will continue to receive 10% commission on all funds credited by travellers to the SIM under the offer which is in place until February 28.
