Chimu showcases Collections program
By admin

Latin America specialist Chimu Adventures will head to Adelaide tonight as it continues to showcase its new Collections brochure at a series of travel agent roadshows.

The program features a range of boutique and five star properties, all of which have been hand-picked with the help of Chimu’s four Latin American offices, director Greg Carter said.

“The phrase hand-picked is used a lot in our industry but these really are,” he told Travel Today. “I spent four months in Latin America looking at properties.”

Machu Picchu Lodge to Lodge experience, the Delfin Amazon Cruise, Tierra Patagonia Hotel, Cruceros Australis cruise and Alto Atacama Hotel feature among the product.

Carter said the brochure will sit alongside its existing Antarctica and Latin American programs.

“The Collections brochure is the first dedicated top end Latin America program in the market. We expect it to do well,” he said.

Carter said business has been “crazy” with demand for tailor made travel in Latin America showing no sign of slowing.

Chimu has reported year on year growth of 50% with the company now carrying 4000 tourists each year, Carter said.

The roadshows conclude in Melbourne tomorrow night.
