Sabre Pacific has introduced a new workflow for booking trans-Tasman and international journeys through Sabre Online as it undertakes a major productivity update of the tool.

The workflow has been redesigned to be more closely aligned to domestic with online travel bookers also able to simultaneously search flights, cars and hotels on the one screen.

The changes reduce booking creation time between 25% and 30%, according to chief information officer, Mark Mison.

 

Crown Limited has confirmed it has divested its interest of 82,561,200 shares in Echo Entertainment Group for $264 million.

 

Youth operator Topdeck is offering a free adventure of up to 15 days in either Australia or New Zealand for all agents who sell two trips in either destination by September 30.

All Topdeck passengers or agents must be aged between 18 and 39 at the time of the booking.

 

Russia specialist Beyond Travel has released is inaugural Legendary Rail Journeys brochure featuring rail tours and packages that allow travellers to build their own itineraries in Russia, China and Mongolia. 

Marketing manager Bryce Crampton said the new brochure comes on the back of increased demand from agents and their clinets over the last few years.

 

Silversea Expeditions has released a range of new Galapagos cruise and land packages, combining seven new shorter Silver Galapagos voyages of just three and four days with pre- and post-cruise South America land adventures.

 

Accor will open its first hotel in Victoria's coastal reort town Portsea with the June 1 launch of the new build Mercure Portsea Golf Club & Resort.

Developed by Portsea Golf Club, the four-star hotel is part of a multi-million dollar development which includes a new club house, accommodation and function complex.

 

Evergreen Tours has launched its 2014 Canada & USA brochure featuring an entirely new US touring and cruising program.

New product includes a seven-night cruise on a Mississippi River paddle steamer and the Rocky Mountaineer Coastal Passage train from Vancouver to Seattle.

 

Peregrine is marking the launch of its 2014 Arctic voyages with the offer of 25% off journeys booked before July 31.

The range includes the 16-day Greenland to Churchill tour which discovers polar bears, walrus and Inuit communities before visiting Greenland and navigating Canada's NorthWest Passage.

 

The 2014/15 earlybird sale from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises is offering  balcony upgrades from $4 per person per night, with more than 80 sailings on five ships eligible when booked by December 31.

 

Busabout has secured tickets to Spanish tomato festival La Tomatina, following its change from a free-admissions festival to a ticketed event earlier this year, significantly limiting participant numbers.

The youth operator is offering one, three and five day packages to the event.
