More than 55 US tourism representatives will descend on Australia next month for a series of travel agent training events and Visit USA expos.

It will be the largest event in Visit USA's history.

"Interest in the US continues to grow, with a record number of Australian visitors arriving in the country in 2012," Visit USA president Geoffrey Hutton said.

"In the first half of the year alone, Australian visitor numbers increased almost 5% compared to the same time last year."

The events will be held at Crown Burswood Convention Centre, Perth on February 13, Hilton Sydney on February 18; Pullman Brisbane on February 19 and Plaza Ballroom at the Regent Theatre, Melbourne on February 20 between 5 and 9pm.
